Cirrus 40

The Original mid-sized Nordic Tipi – customisable and linkable. Perfect for outdoor classrooms, event venues and glamping sites.

Product Overview

Our Cirrus 40 Nordic Tipi is the second largest in the Cirrus range, and the most popular. Designed with ease of use as a top priority, it is also highly versatile.

This mid-sized tipi measures 8.5 metres (27’11”) in diameter and can accommodate up to 40 people seated, or 50+ standing. It can be used as a stand alone tent, be linked to another Cirrus 40, Stratus 40 or linked to our Stratus 72, using our Linkflex system, to create a larger single space.

Whilst the sides cannot be raised, like on the Stratus 72, it does have three zip entrances. Between two of these zip entrances, a canvas panel can be rolled up to create a wide entrance. The Cirrus 40 can be customised with a stylish and functional covered entrance, which provides excellent weather protection and significantly expands the covered floor area. With a choice of canvas or PVC walls or wooden doors, you are able to create an entrance with wow factor and ultimate flexibility.

For a versatile open entrance, without walls, components of our Linkflex system can be used to create a simple yet effective awning. This addition increases the usable covered floor space by nearly 30 per cent, making it an ideal solution for larger gatherings and outdoor events.

 Defined by the Details

Outstanding Canvas

Using the best materials we find on the market, with long life expectancy and the right properties for your needs.
\

Lab tested Swedish timber

We lab-test our timber to measure its various characteristics and feed these into our structural calculations. The species of timber and the location in which it is grown, are vital to its strength.
\

Aesthetically pleasing poles

Our de-barked poles have a beautiful natural look, avoiding any machining or artificial staining common in processed timbers. As nature intended. Every pole is unique and contributes to the character of the tent.
\

Sewn in one piece

Rather than using the easier method of lacing, our canvases are sewn in one piece. By doing so we avoid the leak risks associated with the lacing method.
\

Accessory entrances

Open porches, enclosed PVC or canvas entrances and wooden doors, increase floor space by up to 30 per cent.
\

Three openings and a roll-up panel

One opening serves as a main entrance, the other two as reserve exits. Opening both reserve exits and rolling up the panel create an opening several metres wide.
\

Connectable for almost infinite space

Link two Cirrus 40 together for double the area, or with Stratus for as much space as you need. Linking kit available as an accessory.
\

In-Tent Vent™

The ventilator cap is easily adjusted from the inside with our patented system, for ventilation and smoke-clearance.
\

Ventilator cap

For venting out hot air and for smoke clearance when having an open fire inside the tent.
\

Top poles

Located in the top of the Nordic tipi to imitate projecting poles without compromising the water resistance of the cap.
\

Sustainable timber and no chemicals

Due to its immense strength, the specific species of spruce we use for our poles does not require the use of unpleasant chemicals to prevent rot.
\

Stakes

Comes with a set of our custom-made steel stakes for safe anchoring in most ground conditions. Packed in a heavy-duty bag made from off-cut tent fabrics.
