 Defined by the Details

Outstanding Canvas

Our custom made canvas took three years to develop. It has much better water repellent properties than the best off-the-shelf canvas we have ever found. Our canvas complies with all relevant flame retardant standards, including USA, UK and Australia. The flame retardant properties do not degrade over time, so no need for reproofing.
\

Reinforcement Edge

The canvas along the bottom of the tent is where most wear occurs, but our reinforcement edge is UV resistant and stronger than any other giant tipi product on the market.
\

Natural, Sustainable, Lab-tested Timber

Our beautiful wooden poles are as nature intended - not machined, stained or chemically treated. Slowly grown in sustainable forests in the far North of Scandinavia, the species of spruce we use for our poles is naturally immensely strong and resistant to rot. Our poles have undergone rigorous lab testing to ensure that their specification fully supports our Structural Calculations.
\

Expansion Panels

The canvas is sewn with expansion panels, which allow for the sides to be fully or partially raised. These panels can be tensioned according to how the sides are configured.
\

Compatible Walls and Doors

Using our Wallflex system, raised sides can be covered with canvas or PVC walls and/or our bespoke wooden doors. We can also offer a canvas joiner to allow the tipi to be joined to other structures, such as a catering tent.
\

Entrance Options

As standard, this giant nordic tipi comes with one or two door options. We can also offer custom manufacture to have additional (or less) doors, or doors placed in non-standard positions.
\

Canvas attachment points

The Stratus 72 has two attachment points on each main pole that are crucial for our structural calculations. They prevent rotation of the canvas on the frame and perform a vital function when the sides are raised.
\

Linkable

With its sides raised, and using our Linkflex system, the Stratus 72 can be linked to other Stratus 72, Stratus 40 and Cirrus 40 to create bespoke spaces with limitless possibilities.
\

In-Tent Vent™

Our In-Tent Vent ventilator cap is adjusted from inside the tipi, solving the issue caused by external smoke cap ropes - especially on linked tipis.
\

Roof Poles

Made from the same slow grown spruce as the main poles, our roof poles can be used to raise some or all of the sides of the Stratus 72. Using our band pins, the roof poles are firmly secured to avoid unnecessary movement.
\

Secondary Poles

In high wind conditions, the Stratus 72 can be built with 18 secondary poles, which play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the tent.
\

Stakes and Ground Anchors

Our stakes are cast in a single piece for maximum strength. Ground anchors provide around 6 times the holding power of a single vertical stake.
\

Supported by Full Structural Calculations

Fully engineered by a firm of structural engineers, specialising in temporary fabric structures. Sophisticated computer modelling assists with compliance to international standards.
\

High Wind Device

Our innovative Tipistar is an internal wire device which adds stability and increases the wind loading capacity from 40.7mph to 62.6mph on a single Stratus 72.
